Air Europe (1979-1991) Brief Notes
For most of its existence Air Europe was a Charter Company operating for UK based Inclusive Tour operators including International Leisure it's Parent Company. In the late 1980's Air Europe aggressively expanded into Schedule Services and formed a keystone element of the Air Europe Group which was Harry Goodman's vision for a pan European group of Airlines, with companies locally based in every major European Country, but operating under one brand and with operations coordinated across the group.
The events leading up to the collapse of the entire International Leisure Group and the subsequent debacle are worthy of a an entire book and will not be covered here!
